On June 1, 2015, New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) released a proposed amendment to its Flood Hazard Area Control Act and now accepts public comments until July 31, 2015. According to NJDEP, this amendment will reduce unnecessary regulatory burden, provide better consistency with federal, local and other State requirements, and address implementation issues identified since the repeal or repromulgation of the rules in November 2007.
